For our Antwerp HQ office, we are looking for a fulltime Medior Accountant.
As a Medior Accountant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting of several international entities within the Essentiel Antwerp group. You work autonomously and accurately, and you proactively contribute to improving our financial processes. Thanks to your ambition to grow and learn, you will gradually take on more responsibility within a modern, international fashion company undergoing an exciting transformation.
Manage the full accounting process for multiple foreign entities, maintaining regular communication with local compliance offices.
Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, banks, and retail stores.
Closely monitor CAPEX, ensuring the correct processing of depreciation.
Coordinate periodic VAT and Intrastat filings with compliance partners and prepare VAT turnover reconciliations.
Prepare and review payment files and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
Manage lease contracts for the international stores within your scope and ensure accurate accounting follow-up.
Collaborate closely with the accounting teams of the parent company and other entities on all intercompany transactions.
Maintain an overview of all balance sheet accounts, including provisions, expected credit notes, and incoming invoices.
Report timely and accurately on the financial performance of your entities to the Consolidation and Controlling Manager during periodic closings.
Actively contribute to process improvements and support the ongoing professionalisation of the finance department.
Support administrative duties and assist with other accounting tasks as needed.
Assist colleagues and work constructively within the finance team.
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Taxation, or an equivalent qualification.
3 to 5 years of relevant experience, for example in audit, accounting, or a similar role.
Strong eagerness to grow, learn, and take on new responsibilities.
Highly accurate, structured, and able to work independently.
Fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French or German is an asset.
Solid knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
Experience with Twinfield is a plus.
Able to meet deadlines, work collaboratively, and remain flexible when needed.
Proactive, driven, and eager to learn.
